Grand Master Kim immigrated to the United States from South Korea in 1977 as a Christian missionary. While in Korea, he founded the Tae Kwon Do club at the prestigious Seoul National University where he studied physics.
In 1993 Grand Master Kim founded Kim's School of Tae Kwon Do in the Meyerland/Bellaire area of Houston. In 1996 he received his Eighth Dan (black belt degree) from the Chung Do Kwan in South Korea.
Always a devoted family man, Grand Master Kim saw his many students as an extension of his own family. It is in this spirit that his former students and family now operate this school in loving memory of him.
